Machu Picchu, Lago Titicaca & Arequipa 10 Days

In the afternoon at 13:00 hours, we will start the archaeological City Tour of Cusco, in this tour we will visit the Cathedral of Cusco,  it houses a large collection of architectural works of Spanish Baroque style.

Then, we will visit the Temple of Coricancha, also known as the Temple of the Sun, where the Spaniards built the Church of Santo Domingo over one of the most important Inca Sacred enclosures.

After this, we’ll leave the city to go to four archaeological sites, such as Sacsayhuaman, where the Inti Raymi (Festival of the Sun) the most popular celebration of Cusco, is recreated every June 24th, then we will visit Qenqo, Tambomachay, and Pukapukara (famous Inca Baths).

The tour ends at approximately 6:30 pm.

At 08:00 h in the morning, is the departure from Cusco to Ollantaytambo, we´ll go along the famous Vilcanota River, better known as the Sacred Valley of the Incas. On the way, we will stop to have explanations from our guide about the Inca sites and to observe the landscape.

The first archaeological site to visit is Pisac, with its huge Inca terraces for agriculture, the extensive constructions over the valley such as temples, houses, altars, etc., and then we go ahead to the traditional market (only on market days), there you will have some free time to interact with local artisans, or to buy handmade souvenirs and handycraft in general.

Then we continue to the Inkary Museum, where you will learn about the amazing history of the most important cultures of Peru, here you can appreciate life-size models and mannequins of pre-Inca cultures such as: Caral, Chavin, Paracas, Nazca, Mochica, Lambayeque and Chimu. Then, we continue to Urubamba to enjoy a delicious lunch in a traditional Tourist restaurant.

After lunch, we head to Ollantaytambo, well known as the Museum town , the Inca city with remarkable canals, stone streets, where the Inca architecture is still preserved. We visit the incredible temples with huge blocks.

Finally, at the given time, according to the train ticket schedule, we approach to the train station for the check in to travel from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes for about 2 hours, where you will be transferred to your hotel, and enjoy a delicious dinner at a tourist restaurant, and then prepare for the visit to Machu Picchu next day.

This is the most important day, your visit to Machu Picchu, one of the Wonders of the World!

We encourage you to get up early to board one of the first buses to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. Once we arrive to the Inca site of Machu Picchu, there you will have about two hours of guidance , during the explanation you will visit the viewpoint, the Intihuatana located at the top of the citadel, the temple of the sun, the temple of the condor, and other important sectors.

After this, you will have some free time to explore the rest of the citadel on your own. At the recommended time you will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included) and board the train back to Ollantaytambo, here there will be a bus waiting to transfer you to your hotel in Cusco City

Again after breakfast, in a comfortable tourist bus we will depart to Puno by the Ruta del Sol, during the journey we will appreciate the landscape of the southern valley of Cusco, and we will make stops at different sites of interest.

The first visit will be to the local church of the village Andahuaylillas, of baroque style of the XVI century. Continuing with the trip the next stop will be in Raqchi, archaeological center known as the Temple of the Sun (Wiracocha) with its food deposits.

Then we will have lunch in the town of Sicuani, then the next stop is at the highest point of the trip the Raya, point that divides the region of Cusco with Puno with the snowy Chimboya.

Finally before arriving in Puno and being transferred to the hotel, we will visit the archaeological site of Pucara, a pre-Inca village.

After breakfast we will transfer to the port on Lake Titicaca, where we will embark and begin to navigate the highest lake in the world, during the expedition we will visit the floating islands of the Uros in the same lake.

Continuing with the trip we will visit the island of Taquile, where the locals will introduce us to their lifestyle, customs and give us an Andean lunch prepared by them.

Finally our trip to the city of Puno begins.

Always after breakfast, we will start our trip by tourist bus to Chivay. On the way we will make the first stop in Lagunillas where we will appreciate birds in their natural habitat.

Continuing the next stop will be in Pampa Canhahuas, where we will appreciate the incredible landscape. Then the next stop will be in Patapampa from where we can appreciate the volcanoes of the region to finally continue the trip to the town of Chivay.

In the morning our journey begins with direction to the viewpoint of the Condors in the Colca Canyon with a depth of 3000 meters, in these areas and altitude inhabits the condor on the rocks, and we will present its splendor flying in the sky.

Finally we will return to Chivay for lunch and finally continue the trip to the city of Arequipa.

Today in the morning and we will visit the white city of Arequipa, in the tour we will stop at the viewpoint of Carmen from where we can appreciate the volcanoes Misti, Chachani and Pichu Pichu, also the valley of the city, we will also stop at the square of Yanahuara where an old inn was located.

We will visit the central square of the city of Arequipa with its main church, continuing also to visit the Monastery of Santa Catalina, which has housed more than 4000 nuns since 1579, from the highest levels of society of the time.

After breakfast we transfer you to the airport, always two hours before your flight to Lima and home.
